Under the supervision and direction of the MHS Manager, Team Lead, or Lead Ambassador the Floater Ambassador/Screener is responsible for escorting and providing directions to patients and guests to and/or from the hospital in a welcoming, friendly, efficient, and courteous manner. The Health Screener will be responsible for administering temperature checks and health related questionnaires to all employee and visitors to ensure a safe and healthy environment.

The Floater Ambassador/Screener will "float" between co-located hospitals. Floater Ambassador/Screeners are also responsible for assisting guests with inquiries, wheel chairs, luggage, directions, hospital promotions/campaigns and initial questions regarding the hospital facility and service offerings.

Position Requirements Duties and Responsibilities: • Conveys scripted salutations and messaging for every patron upon arrival and departure. • Utilizes proper safe patient handling techniques. • Personally escorts guests throughout the facility, opens doors, offers wheelchair assistance, guidance, and carries packages and luggage. • Responds to guest inquiries and concerns promptly with courtesy. • Knowledge of the facility procedures and guest-related information including, facility general information, general event information, taxi/transportation assistance, and airport information and emergency codes. • Responds to safety hazards according to facility procedures to include: water on floor, objects inadvertently blocking doors, electrical cords removed or taped, and misplaced furniture. • Immediately report any accidents to manager on duty. • Maintains safe, clean and neat work environment by following standards and procedures. • Maintains strict confidentiality related to work information (in accordance with HIPAA). • Performs other duties as assigned. • Will be required to work at multiple, co-located facilities. Qualification and Requirements: • High School Diploma/ GED or equivalent experience. • Must be able to work legally in the United States. • Must pass background and drug screenings. • Able to speak, read, and write English fluently. • Required to meet immunization or health screening requirements. • Ability to demonstrate professionalism, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills. • Passion for customer service and attention to detail. Physical Requirements: • Regularly required to stand, walk, sit, use hands, talk, see, and hear. • Must be able to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds occasionally. • Must be able to push and pull (on wheelchair) 100 to 350 pounds, frequently over considerable distance. • Ability to work flexible schedules and extended hours is sometimes required. 
 • Screens to ensure temperature readings for those entering the facility are within standard range (i.e., fever-free). • Utilizes screening questions to ensure individuals entering the facility have not had a recent exposure to illness. Reports responses according to established protocols. • Wears hospital-provided Protective Personal Equipment (PPE) while distributing PPE to those entering the facility. • Monitors the flow of people entering the building to ensure appropriate distancing between individuals in accord with the social distancing guidelines posted leading up to and/or posted at the building entry.
