JOB SUMMARY

The Traffic Associate (Driver/Courier) performs duties such as: picking up samples from clients as well as payment from COD clients, collecting client samples following established and well defined protocols, performing preassigned collection duties, and purchasing products from food stores for analytical purposes. The Traffic Associate (Courier/Sampler) may also deliver requested products to clients.

ESSENTIAL JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Pick-up samples from clients, using proper sanitation and sample storage as described in Certified Laboratories Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
  • Follow established and well-defined protocols to collect samples of food from clients establishments; manufacturers, processors, packers, re-packers, shippers, importers, etc,
  • Complete all sample Collection Reports accurately and fully; including sample number, collection date, photos, identifying information.
  • Complete all other required paperwork including sample log pick-up.
  • Transport all samples to labs according to established transport procedures while maintaining samples at proper temperatures.
  • Obey traffic laws and follow established traffic and transportation procedures.
  • Maintain vehicle and all other property of Certified Laboratories assigned to the driver.
  • Maintain and track all petty cash monies and receipts.
  • Interact with clients in a professional manner with a professional appearance
  • Perform other services for Certified Laboratories, as designated by Management.
 
Position Requirements

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • High school diploma or equivalency. 
  • Ability to crawl, bend, kneel, stretch, and routinely lift 60lbs.
  • Ability to sit for long periods of time.
  • Ability to handle heavy industrial drill.
  • Critical thinking – using logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions or approaches to problems.
  • Excellent organizational skills - ability to use your time, energy, resources, etc. in an effective manner.
  • Time management – one’s own time and the time of others.
  • Training – teaching and guiding others how to complete a process from beginning to end.
  • Excellent communication skills – speaking, reading, writing and listening.
  • Must continuously and intermittently pass drug testing screen and physical.
  • Excellent driving record and clean driver’s license.
  • Good sense of direction and ability to read road maps and operate GPS.
