Share Email Opening Title Health Screener - 8am to 6pm - Tuesday Thru Friday - $13.75 per hour  Open Date 9/28/2022   Description Under the supervision and direction of the MHS Area Manager or Team Lead, the Health Screener is responsible for greeting, screening and provide assistance when appropriate, to all visitors, patients and colleagues as they enter the facility. The Health Screener will be responsible for administering temperature checks and health related questionnaires to all employee and visitors to ensure a safe and healthy environment. The Health Screener must use Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) that is required for this position. The position also provides information regarding directions and location of specific services. All qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, gender, national origin, disability status, protected veteran status or any other characteristic protected by law.   Req Number GUE-22-00061   Position Requirements Ensures a warm friendly welcome to all individuals entering the facility (i.e. patients, visitors, vendors, delivery personnel, staff, etc.) Screens to ensure temperature readings for those entering the facility are within standard range (i.e., fever-free). Utilizes screening questions to ensure individuals entering the facility have not had a recent exposure to illness. Wears provided Protective Personal Equipment (PPE) while distributing PPE to those entering the facility. Follows established protocol for those who present with a fever reading outside the standard range or have had a recent exposure to illness. Monitors the flow of people entering the building to ensure appropriate distancing between individuals in accord with the social distancing guidelines posted leading up to and/or posted at the building entry. Immediately report any accidents to manager on duty. Reporting cases of positive and negative responses according to established protocols while remaining cognizant of appropriate requirements (state, local and federal requirements established per site). Provide additional information to employees, patients, or visitors once responses have been documented. Ensure individuals maintain appropriate social distancing of 6 feet as recommended by the CDC during the health screening process Maintain cleanliness of equipment and work area. Appropriate written and verbal communication skills Strong team player and ability to work independently Ethical understanding of patient processes, confidentiality, and personal health information (PHI) data management Maintains strict confidentiality related to work information (in accordance with HIPAA). Performs other duties as assigned. Qualifications: High School Diploma/ GED or equivalent experience. Must be able to work legally in the United States. Must pass background and drug screenings. Able to speak, read, and write English fluently. Required to meet immunization or health screening requirements. Ability to demonstrate professionalism, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
