Description

SAL Community Servicies, home to Skip-a-Long Childhood Centers,is searching for a Family Service Provider thatplays a crucial role to the daily operations and is central to the success of the Center. Monitors enrollment information, fee schedules, and childrens files. Maintains appropriate records and prepares appropriate reports. Serves in the role of childrens guidance liaison between Site Director, staff, parent(s) and child. Coordinates staff educational trainings and monthly meetings, parent/child conferences for behaviors, parent trainings and events.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Conducts enrollment tours and orientation for new clients; determines appropriate fee with clients
  • Maintains enrollment, data, inquiries, and waiting list(s)
  • Completes in a timely and accurate manner all agency required paperwork to include, but not limited to, monitoring of child attendance
  • Support eligibility process with parents to complete application, follow up paperwork and to participate in the collection process
  • Responsible for CACFP (Child Care Food Program)
  • Maintains accurate information in child files and verifies through regular audits
  • Monitors all behavioral issues of the children while at the Center
  • Facilitate referrals to support services regarding family issues
  • Provide classroom observation and reporting concerning behavior to help ensure children are school ready
  • Conduct parent/teacher conferences regarding behavior
  • Facilitate communication between Center and parents through a variety of sources: newsletters, text campaigns, emails, social media and signage
  • Organize and communicate processes to staff and parents regarding: parent education, involvement, and family focused events, teacher conferences, fundraising events, developmental screenings and field trips
  • Promote and amplify the internal and external functions of the Center by collaborating with Marketing, Fund Development and Business Administration staff
  • Organize monthly staff meetings and trainings to achieve quality standards, meet state regulations, and/or obtain agency wide goals
  • Present to various community organizations in the benefits of early care and education, SALCS, and on other appropriate topics

Minimum Requirements

  • SAL Community Services requires all employees to be fully-vaccinated with the COVID-19 vaccine and show acceptable proof of documentation. Requests for reasonable accommodation as required under applicable law will be considered.
  • Must meet Director qualified certifications per state regulatory agencies. Associates degree in one of the following human services, early childhood or related field. Three years of experience in human services, early childhood, or have other related work experience. Must present documentation of professional credentials, activities, and trainings necessary to educate staff, children and parents. Knowledge and experience of early childhood state regulations and/or state and federal quality initiatives. Must articulate and demonstrate prior supervisory experience.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office software, and other basic computer applications.
  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee must be able to relate to children on their physical level; this includes walking, standing, stopping, running, sitting, climbing, crawling, kneeling, pulling, lifting, carrying, and crouching. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 30 pounds.
