Job Summary

 

Reporting to the Director of Internal Sales and as part of the NWL sales distribution team, the Internal Account Manager will support their account assignments from a strategic and operational perspective working closely with their external Regional Sale Director(s). This position provides pro-active support for assigned account relationships acting as key point of contact for the relationship regarding service and commission issues and resolution, marketing initiatives and campaigns, product training, coordination of due diligence responses, pro-active communications, and account sales results to goal.

 

Essential Functions

  • Act as main point of contact for assigned accounts for service and operational support and resolution in a timely manner and high-level professional manner
  • Work closely with the New Business and Underwriting teams on trouble shooting new business, commission, underwriting, licensing, and client service issues that have been escalated from account, RSD, or Regional Wholesaler.
  • Provide detailed responses to accounts of resolutions and track each communication using Salesforce
  • Work with New Business in identifying process improvement opportunities
  • Train accounts on new business processes
  • Monitor and put in place with account plans for improvements with E-App usage, NIGO, Placement Rates, etc.
  • Coordinate responses on due diligence and RFP requests
  • Drive strategic initiatives & tactics within assigned relationships: small incentive programs, awareness campaigns, product launch activities, onboarding
  • Provide reactive support for RSD(s): meeting follow-up, territory management activities, marketing initiatives
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
 
Position Requirements

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

  • 2 - 5 years of work experience in sales or financial services role.
  • Knowledge and understanding of NWL products and systems.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and enthusiastic team player.
  • Excellent oral and written skills and ability to professionally interact with all organizational levels.
  • Must be proficient in Microsoft Office and SalesForce.
  • Ability to multi-task between several computer applications while competently managing a conversation.
  • Self-starter who takes initiative while being an integral member of a team.

 

Education & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing or communications, strongly preferred.
  • 2 – 5 years of sales or financial services experience, preferred.

 

Licenses & Certifications

  • Life-only Insurance License or must complete and pass within 90 days of hire.
  • FINRA Series 6 & 63 Licenses or must complete and pass within 180 days of hire.
  • LOMA Insurance Courses I & II or must complete within first year of employment.
  • CLU, CFP or ChFC, desirable.
