Share Email Opening Title Nurse - Adult Medical Clinic  Description Wyandot Behavioral Health Network is seeking a Nurse- LPN to join the adult med clinic department. The purpose of the Nurse-LPN position is to provide support to adult clients who receive care from the medication clinic by providing professional nursing care, care management and coordination services. Essential Job Duties: Provide psychological evaluations/problem identification, and crisis interventions. Assist consumers with psychological, social development and rehabilitation. Coordinate medical care and intervention with staff and psychiatrist. Monitor consumers’ vital signs. Maintain accurate and timely clinical records consistent with MHCD standards. Participate in team meetings, in-services, and supervisory sessions as required. Perform other duties as assigned by Lead Nurse and Program Manager. Qualifications: Must by licensed in Kansas by the Kansas Board of Nursing as a Licensed Practical Nurse. Familiarity with mental health theory, emerging promising practices and Evidence-Based practices. Prior experience with mental health is preferred. Knowledge of medical and non-medical services delivery system. Effective communication with clients, family and supports, guardians and other services providers. Ability to establish relationships with individuals and organizations of influence within the social services community. Demonstrated strong interpersonal and communication skills.   Position Requirements Job Requirements: Theoretical and working knowledge of psychotropic medications. Working knowledge of laboratory test results. Ability to assess crisis situations and intervene appropriately Effective written and verbal communications skills. General knowledge of computer technology.
