This individual will be responsible for developing new and existing business member relationships including loans, deposits and other financial products; serving as the subject matter expert for community business owners, members and prospective members; and providing education of Northern’s products and services while upholding the Credit Union’s brand image and Core Values.   The following essential responsibilities are driven by our vision, “As the recognized Standard of Excellence, we humbly embrace the higher expectations and responsibility to continuously improve for the betterment of those we serve.” Job Responsibilities: Proactively cultivates relationships with local businesses to identify potential lending and deposit opportunities for commercial, mortgage and consumer relationships; Enthusiastically and regularly conducts external seminars and workshops with the purpose of providing education on the Commercial Lending program to our local community businesses, organizations, and membership; Assists with the development, implementation, and growth of a Commercial Lending program dedicated to creating high quality business solutions for our members; Consistently provides a high level of service while assisting members with business lending applications; Prepares files for loan approvals, and analyzes the financial status and credit of applicants to determine eligibility for loans as required; Assists with collections, foreclosure activities and all other duties related to commercial lending in partnership with the Credit Solutions department to manage and minimize delinquencies; Partners with Lending and Member Relations teams as well as other departments throughout the Credit Union by educating internal owners on cultivating relationships with existing business members; and Continuously stays updated on economic conditions, industry trends, and local market competition to ensure Northern’s products and services are competitively packaged and priced.
