In this role, you will work as part of a team creating leather-made, hand-crafted footwear. This is the perfect role for a mechanically inclined, detail-oriented problem solver who is interested in the field of bootmaking.   SUMMARY OF POSITION Employee will be working with various leather parts in the process of sewing the upper portion of the boots.   ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions. Operate and maintain industrial sewing machine and related parts, including pattern plates, needles, presser feet, automatic cutting tools and blades to sew various parts of the boot upper Ability to efficiently start, stop, and control sped of machine with pedal Ability to ensure all pattern marks line up to each other Inspect and repair finished products as needed and make machine adjustments to compensate for errors or quality issues Inspect boot for quality assurance Record accurately the materials used, maintenance performed, and number of pieces completed during each shift, keeping each of these metrics within target ranges. Troubleshoot basic machinery problems and request service or repairs as needed.
