We are currently seeking a full-time Barista for our hotel.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Greet all guests in a warm and enthusiastic manner.
Memorize menu selections including being familiar with daily specials and basic ingredients.
Use proper verbiage and etiquette when answering questions about ingredients.
Take orders while paying attention to details (e.g. Preferences of coffee, blend, dairy, and sugar ratios)
Write drink order on the cup.
Prepare beverages following recipes.
Serve beverages and deliver prepared food such as cookies, pastries, and muffins.
Receive and process payment (cash and credit cards).
Keep the counter areas clean.
Maintain appropriate stock levels of clean mugs, plates, and all merchandise.
Assist in cleaning and wiping down of service areas and prep areas.
Notify a supervisor immediately of any guest complaints.
Ensure brewing equipment is operating properly and report any maintenance issues.
Comply with health and safety regulations.
Communicate customer feedback to supervisor/manager and recommend new menu items.
Answer department telephone using proper telephone etiquette.
Maintain and follow all cash handling procedures.
Ability to accurately use various office software.
Minimum lifting of 25 pounds.
Pushing, bending, stooping, upward reaching, manual dexterity.
Hearing, writing, typing.
Minimum pulling of 50 pounds.
Must have excellent attendance record.
Must work morning and weekend shifts.
Must have excellent customer service skills.
Hospitality experience preferred.
