We provide a full suite of engineering, construction, operations and maintenance services including repair, replacement, maintenance, and installation of natural gas, telecommunications, and electric infrastructure through five operating subsidiaries: Track Utilities, SiteWise, Kelly Cable, Riley Brothers and Superior Pipeline Services.   Description Pay rate range is: $32-$38/hr, DOE General Purpose The purpose of this position is to provide overall on-site leadership and oversee paving operations, maintenance, safety and quality assurance. The Asphalt Paving Forman will work with the entire asphalt paving crew, ensuring a safe worksite and communicate all job-related information to the Supervisor. Maintains organized document storage retention Researches and responds to inquiries from internal departments regarding billing units, time, and expenses Supports the coordination of third-party vendor rentals and repairs for individual job projects Maintains logs and minutes of phone calls, discussions, requests, and events for internal and external clients Assigns crews and assists with operational tasks Ensures subgrade materials and base gravels are laid to contract Observes asphalt and subgrade to determine potential quality control issues and applies necessary corrections Identifies segregation, drainage issues, and densities Controls joints, using straight edge and jointer Monitors inventories and requests supplies and equipment needed Monitors and manages employee attendance and material coordination sheets from the field crews Updates daily crew schedules and communications to operating company Supervisors Cleans and prepares construction sites to eliminate possible hazards Cleans, checks fluid levels and conducts a visual inspection of vehicle/equipment to assure vehicle/equipment is performing at optimum safety, performs the required pre-trip, post trip inspections and the required paperwork, perform needed maintenance including winterizing equipment Utilizes defensive driving practices Operates truck in a manner that ensures compliance with all applicable company, state and federal safety regulations Follows required company and DOT reporting procedures Maintains paperwork during the day including DVIR and driver's logbook Ensures the truck has current licenses, tags, permits, and proof of insurance Works with paving projects Disciplines and coaches' employees Other Duties/Responsibilities Performs other duties as assigned Supervisory Duties (if any) Instructs employees on company core values, company and client policies, and safety policies Employees are held accountable for all duties of this job.   Position Requirements Job Qualifications Experience: Three (3+) plus years’ experience working in the paving field An equivalent combination of education and experience may be substituted on a year to year basis Additional Requirements/Licenses/Certifications: Possession of a valid State Driver’s License is required A Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) Class A is preferred Candidates must pass Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) background checks, a Department of Transportation (DOT) regulated physical as a requirement of the job and pass a pre-employment drug screen Education or Formal Training: HS Diploma or GED   Open Date 9/20/2022   Close Date   EOE Statement We are an equal employment opportunity employer.
