The Compensation and Benefits Manager supports the human resources department through the management, administration, analysis, and action planning of compensation and benefits programs. This position also serves as a strategic partner to support compensation and benefits strategies to ensure organizational effectiveness. This position will work collaboratively with internal and external resources to develop, implement, and improve compensation and benefits processes to enhance talent retention and attraction.

Job Duties and Responsibilities

Create a comprehensive total rewards philosophy that aligns with our strategy, business goals, and global talent needs. Ensure total rewards are highly competitive within the marketplace.

Responsible for the management and administration of all benefit programs including but not limited to health, dental, vision, life, AD&D, disability, retirement, flexible spending accounts (FSA), health savings accounts (HSA), FMLA, COBRA, tuition reimbursement, paid time off, and other ancillary benefits as applicable.

Responsible for managing and coordinating the administration, execution, and analysis of the Company's total compensation programs. Includes salary, bonuses, long- and short-term incentive plans.

Responsible for the administration of the annual merit review process.

Coordinate and lead the roll out of annual open enrollment to include communications, documentation, events, and resources.

Manages the 401(k)-plan including the annual audit process.

Ensures compensation programs are consistently administered across the organization and in compliance with all legal requirements

Analyze and review compensation data and report to management as needed. Works closely with the Finance department to accurately forecast and report compensation and benefit costs.

Ensures compliance with collective bargaining agreements as it relates to compensation and benefits, where applicable.

Serve as a primary point of contact for new hires and employees on enrollments, status changes, etc.

Research, analyze, and establish a company-wide compensation model with salary ranges and wages for all positions.

Identify and resolve issues related to both benefit and compensation programs and implement process improvements and efficiencies.

Provide oversight to our insurance partners, brokers, and carriers to ensure quality plan service and administration.

Use strong project management skills to oversee all aspects of benefits renewals, vendor changes, and wellness programs/events.

Ensure compliance with applicable government regulations, ensuring timeliness and accuracy for all required reporting, filing, and notifications (EEO-1, 1095-C, 5500, NDT, etc.). Make recommendations regarding compensation programs and benefit plan development.

Oversee analysis of benefits programs in consideration of financial and vendor performance, market position and trends, regulatory compliance, governance, and benefits philosophy.

Analyze data from global compensation surveys for market pricings, salary structure developments, and special reviews

Conduct job evaluations, FLSA assessments, and departmental compensation reviews

Proactively research compensation trends, developments, new approaches, tools, and legal requirements.

Deploy sound communication strategies and measure effectiveness by success metrics

Conduct market pay analysis for use in job evaluations, salary recommendations for new hires and promotions, annual compensation process and, ad hoc requests to ensure external competitiveness and internal equity

 
Position Requirements

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Finance, or other related field required.

7+ years experience in the benefits fields, preferably in a manufacturing environment.

4+ years of experience in the analysis, design, and/or administration of compensation programs

Knowledge of Sarbanes-Oxley Act of 2002.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to effectively communicate with internal and external stakeholders including the ability to present information.

Must be highly organized with excellent attention to detail relating to data accuracy, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.

Must have advanced skills with Microsoft Office, including Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint software applications. Advanced skill with Excel is required.

Ability to work in a deadline-oriented team environment.

Ability to apply discretion and maintain the highest standard of confidentiality.

Experience leading benefits and compensation design changes from concept to execution

Experience conducting national pay market analyses and building out national compensation plans

Knowledge of all pertinent federal and state regulations, filing, and compliance requirements, affecting compensation and benefits programs.

Demonstrated time management skills with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects and changing priorities.

Proven ability to learn new technologies quickly and manage change efficiently, proactively, and in a positive manner.

Strong working knowledge of benefit plans, their mechanics, and legal regulations. Experience managing vendor relationships preferred.

Certified Compensation Professional (CCP) or Certified Benefits Professional (CBP) is strongly desired.
