Salesforce Development Lead

NCM is seeking a Team Lead / Developer for our Business Services team to manage Salesforce and related disciplines. This person will report to the Vice President of Information Technology and oversee Salesforce, FinancialForce, Concur, and related integrations. They will manage a team of 4-6 associates. Candidates must have management experience with strong team building, engineering, and architecture skills. They will primarily perform hands-on technical implementations, focusing on delivering functional solutions on the Salesforce platform.

Duties and Responsibilities
Leader - You will lead a team that includes a combination of full-time and contract resources. You will build, reorganize, and manage the team to provide excellent customer service to our internal and external customers.
SalesForce Developer - You must be a strong Salesforce developer with an architecture mindset. Use modern salesforce practices to build an efficient and maintainable implementation supporting our business needs.
Mentor - You will develop your team members by evaluating, assigning training, and providing technical direction.
• Technical and people management of the Business Services domain with an 80% technical and 20% people management work split.
• Manage the design, deployment, monitoring, maintenance, upgrades, and support of Salesforce.
• Follow Salesforce best practices for development standards and platform architecture.
• Be the SME (Subject Matter Expert) and make staffing recommendations for the Business Services
technical domain.
• Responsible for evaluating existing architecture and design and proposing improvements.
• Identify and remediate skills gaps for team members. Focus on developing and cross-training internal
resources and identifying where outside hiring is required.
• Interface with other departments to ensure that business requirements are met.
• Manage vendor relationships, including negotiations/renegotiations of subscription and support
• Research and recommend innovative and automated approaches for system administration tasks.
• Identify strategies that will standardize our environment to simplify management on a large scale.

Position Requirements

• Hands-on design and development of custom solutions on the Salesforce platform.
• Ability to successfully lead and prioritize complex projects with competing, concurrent demands.
• Strong expertise with production and application support in mixed environments.
• Knowledge of ITIL best practices (Incident, change, and problem management).
• Bachelor’s Degree is preferred; however, the requirement may be satisfied with an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• 5 years of experience in Salesforce development with refactoring skills gained in a business environment, including Custom Objects, Large Data Volumes, Performance Tuning, Flows, Apex, Triggers, Web Services, Visualforce and Migration Tools.
• Experience with technologies integral to Salesforce including: HTML/XHTML, jQuery, JavaScript, AJAX, SQL, SOAP, REST and JSON.
• Prior team lead or manager experience.
• Platform Developer I (prefer II) certification or equivalent knowledge.
