We are searching for a dynamic Plant Manager to take on the responsibility of overseeing plant activities to meet business objectives. What you'll do:

  • Lead five direct reports (4 Production Managers and 1 Maintenance Manager) who oversee the work of more than 50 associates in a multi-shift plant operation.
  • Create a high-performance culture where accountability and delivering on commitments is pushed through the organization and individuals are encouraged to stretch their capabilities.
  • Formulate and monitor department expenses for compliance with approved budget.
  • Continually improve Plant performance to include labor and merchandise costs, expense, utility and safety metrics.
  • Improve Associate Engagement by driving programs that leverage the collective intelligence of the team.
  • Manage and improve safety. Lead the local Safety Committee; improve associate awareness, engagement, and responsibility for themselves and others' safety.
  • Manage a clean and organized facility to maintain industry standards and ensure that it serves as a 'show place" for our associates and customers.
  • Build and maintain a Preventative Maintenance culture where the goal is complete all PM's on time, maintain clean equipment, and minimize down time.
 
Position Requirements

What you’ll require:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in management or related field.
  • Five or more years’ experience serving in a plant management and/or operations role for a growing business with full responsibility for P&L.
  • Excellent leadership skills with prior experience managing a workforce of front-line managers and up to 60 indirect reports.
  • Demonstrated ability to create and sustain a continuous improvement culture (e.g. Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma). Six Sigma, Green Belt or Black Belt certification preferred.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced multi-shift environment.
