NCM is seeking a Security Engineer to help us build a dedicated information security and response practice. The successful candidate will work within NCMs Infrastructure Team, reporting to the Vice President of Information Technology. You will have the opportunity to build an in-house dedicated information security program while working with other system administrators and engineers to form a global infrastructure team.

Duties and Responsibilities
Stay informed of current events in the security industry, including the latest exploits and threats, as well as preventative measures, remediation, and restoration techniques.
Research new and evolving threats and vulnerabilities and assess the possible impact on the monitored environment
Establish and analyze security event monitoring and sensors (EDR, SIEM, etc.).
Implement a secure coding standard using SCA, SAST, and DAST.
Manage security incidents throughout their lifecycle, including proactive investigation, containment, and mitigation.
Monitor security sensors for status, coverage, and health.
Work with infrastructure stakeholders to create a Security Orchestration, Automation, and Response (SOAR) capability.
Develop a standardized set of information security controls that are tested regularly.

 
Position Requirements

• Ability to communicate complex ideas to a broad audience through written or verbal means.
• Understanding of various security technologies such as Firewalls, VPN, Data Loss Prevention, IDS/IPS, and EDR.
• Proven experience in managing security events throughout their lifecycle.
• Experience with leading technical projects from initial design through release.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills and abilities.
• Attention to detail, in particular as it relates to compliance and accuracy of data.
• Bachelor’s Degree is preferred; however, the requirement may be satisfied with an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• 5 years of experience in Salesforce development with refactoring skills gained in a business environment, including Custom Objects, Large Data
• Volumes, Performance Tuning, Flows, Apex, Triggers, Web Services, Visualforce and Migration Tools.
• Security+, CISSP, CISA, or CISM certifications are preferred.
• Experience working in an established Security Operations Center with an enterprise SIEM.
• Candidates accepted into the screening process will be asked to take an online skills evaluation.
• Location Kansas City, MO; Moncton, NB; or full-time remote.
