Email Opening Apply Now Title The Classic Center Full-Time Set-Up   Exempt/Non-Exempt Non-Exempt   Full-Time/Part-Time Full-Time   Description GENERAL DESCRIPTION: Full-time Setup Worker will be responsible for performing routine duties associated with the day-to-day activities of the Operations Department. Duties include, but not limited to: Manual labor, event set-up and tear-down activities, compliance with equipment handling guidelines, equipment storage, operating mechanical equipment, equipment inspections, general housekeeping and custodial duties, policing public areas and such other duties as required by the MOD or Shift Leader on duty. Position reports to the MOD or Shift Leader on duty. TYPICAL WORK ROUTINE INCLUDES, BUT NOT LIMITED TO: 1. Extensive walking throughout the facility and facility grounds. 2. Lift moderate to heavy amounts of weight in the form of tables, chairs, stanchions, staging and step units, dance floor panels, and exhibition materials. 3. Push equipment carts, door panels, and staging/step units as required. 4. Policing and cleaning storage rooms and maintaining equipment place in public spaces, meeting rooms, or other areas. 6. Walking, standing, sitting, stooping, and lifting objects as required. 7. Implementation of basic cleaning and organization methods as required in the maintenance of various rooms and event spaces. 8. Completion of tasks assigned in compliance with basic safety guidelines. 9. Completion of tasks and daily assignments as assigned in a cooperative manner. 10. Perform general manual labor associated with set-up, custodial, maintenance, as required. 11. Maintain public image of the Operations/Maintenance Department at all times when in the service of The Classic Center. 12. Maintain an irregular work schedule as required by the Maintenance Foreman for the servicing of scheduled events and routing assignments within The Classic Center. 13. Such other duties, functions, special projects, and responsibilities as assigned by the Shift Leader or MOD. OTHER RESPONSIBILITIES: As an employee of The Classic Center, the Part-Time Setup Worker shall perform day-to-day assignments and routines in a cooperative manner. The Part-Time Setup Worker shall interact with other employees within guidelines established by The Classic Center. The Part-Time Setup Worker shall follow instructions as required and be knowledgeable of policies regarding safety as to working procedures and conditions upon the premises of The Classic Center. As a highly visible employee, the Part-Time Setup Worker shall maintain the public image of The Classic Center as required.   Position Requirements QUALIFICATIONS: 1. Up to one (1) year experience in a set-up or related position. 2. Up to one (1) year experience in a custodial/housekeeping position. 3. Ability to demonstrate basic set-up techniques with a working knowledge of set-up principles, procedures, and equipment use. 4. Ability to demonstrate basic cleaning techniques. 5. Ability to perform manual tasks requiring physical strength and perform reasonably heavy labor. 6. Ability to operate heavy mechanized equipment. 7. Ability to follow written and/or verbal instructions accurately. 8.
