What's the job?
Level 1 - An entry level service/repair position with training provided to develop into a master technician.
Minimum one year of experience in vehicle repair.
Ability to deliver exceptional service through positive engagement and patience.
Ability to work in a team environment to continuously improve results.
Able to promote a culture of trust and safety.
Level 2 - Mid-level service/repair position, with at least two years of experience repairing Class 8 equipment. Training program provided to help develop into a master technician.
Minimum three years of experience in Class 8 maintenance and repair.
Level 3 - A master technician with at least five years of experience and heavy truck ASE certifications. Mentors to less experienced technicians and helps them develop their skills and abilities.
Minimum five years of experience in Class 8 maintenance and repair
Qualifications & Education Requirements:
High School diploma or equivalent
Proficient in computer based maintenance systems
Vendor sponsored training in major vehicle components (Levels 2 & 3)
Working Conditions:
This position will be required to work in a shop environment in which the employee is frequently exposed to fumes or airborne particles, moving mechanical parts and vibration, heat and cold, and increased levels of noise, and:
Constantly positions oneself to operate, inspect, and move up to 60 pounds,
Manual dexterity to operate a computer keyboard on a daily basis,
Detect, recognize and assess printed text and hand written documents,
Be able to communicate and exchange accurate information.
