BSW Residential Advocate needed for full-time, temp or temp to perm position for an organization that serves survivors of domestic violence, human trafficking, and sexual violence of all ages. They specialize in serving the immigrant populations of NYC and collectively their advocates speak over a dozen different languages.
The advocate will manage a caseload of 5-8 clients within the Residential Programs, providing counseling, case management and accompaniment services for clients legal, immigration, entitlement, and housing needs. Facilitation of support groups and contribute to the shelter staffing.
The work schedule for the position includes 2-3 regular day shifts (9am-5pm) and 2-3 late shifts (1pm-9pm) from Monday to Friday. The non-traditional shift times are to better support Residential clients and their availability to interact with services we offer. This position is on-site.
