Status: Exempt, Full-Time
Salary: DOE

$1,000 SIGN ON BONUS TO THE SELECTED CANDIDATE; REMOTE AND HYBRID OPTIONS AVAILABLE

EMPLOYEE OWNER POSITION PURPOSE:

The Regional Manager of New Community Development is responsible for being a leader in supporting our internal and external clients. Specifically, this role oversees and assists with administration of key functions in the setup, management, and transition of a new communities from Developer to Homeowner Association control. We strive to provide the highest level of customer experience and hospitality. This position will partner with and support, New Development Community Association Managers, New Development Assistant Community Manager, Community Support Specialists, Declarant Board members, and external customers (escrow and title representatives, vendors, homeowners etc.). The role requires being keenly organized, responsive, and knowledgeable regarding job scope (DRE guidelines, CA Civil Code, annexation procedures, state rules and regulations, developer transition etc.),

JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Directs training needs from ND Team for CAMs and schedules with ND Team
  • Attends and leads first annual meetings and presents on roles
  • Serve as point person for client communication needs and escalated client concerns
  • Attends and contributes to monthly Developer team meetings
  • Attends industry BIA events and client lunches
  • Attends first or last turn-over walk for new Builders or large projects when required
  • Introduction of management team to builders
  • Manager the Builder Defect log and communication/escalation path
  • Facilitates training classes and standard operating procedures for both internal and external clients on all matters relating to new community development
  • Partner with Executive Leadership to develop and implement cohesive systems and processes
  • Provide supervisory oversite and leadership of New Development employees
  • Maintain current knowledge of job-related California Civil Code and state law changes that may impact operations
  • Manage performance, training, coaching, and hiring needs for the department
  • Assist with the transition of all new associations from contract initiation to introduction of the management team - including training internal parties and overseeing their success
  • Attend first annual election meetings to establish relationships, facilitate the meetings and explain to homeowners the differences of the individual entities.
  • Coordinate training for Board Members
  • Regularly present information on Management Trust services at sales offices, Board meetings, and internal meetings
  • Attend industry events and activities to promote the Trust, as requested
  • Serve as a backup to attend and facilitate new community turnover walks
  • Serve as a backup to create and distribute a punch list of action items for each responsible party (i.e., builder, manager, landscaper, etc.)
  • Utilize input from key stakeholders to develop trackable systems and processes to ensure repeat business prospects from Developer clients
  • Develop good customer relationships and address customer service needs
  • Facilitate utility transfers with team by coordinating directly with utility service providers
  • Prepare for and facilitate monthly kickoff meetings for new projects
  • Attend monthly builder focus meetings
  • Other duties and special projects as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • High School Diploma (or equivalent); Bachelor's Degree preferred
  • Ability to work independently, with little oversight, but with accountability to leadership to ensure desired results are achieved
  • Be able to motivate, coach, and ensure accountability for a team
  • Proficiency in reading and understanding community association governing documents, including CC&R's, Articles of Incorporation, Developer budgets, Bylaws, White Reports, phasing schedules, site maps and condominium plans
  • Represent our company with the highest degree of integrity and standards
  • A positive attitude and ownership mentality
  • Solid knowledge of Microsoft Outlook, Excel, and Word; intermediate skills a plus
  • Excellent training skills and the ability to communicate in person and in writing
  • Conflict resolution skills, including the ability to de-escalate difficult calls and/or in-person interactions
  • Ability to meet deadline and address time-sensitive issues
  • Superior multi-tasking skills paired with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to provide high-level customer service with astute attention to detail and organization
  • Must be a team player
  • Ability to manage workflow amid shifting priorities
  • Willing to learn Company processes and procedures, and learn/use proprietary software
  • Adaptable and dependable with a solid attendance record
  • Professional and respectful demeanor with all internal and external customer at all times
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability and desire to embrace company culture/policies and employer expectations

SPECIAL POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

  • Must have and maintain a valid driver's license, vehicle insurance, and driving record in compliance with Company policy

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Use standard office equipment, including computer, phone, copier/scanner, etc.
  • Be stationary for periods of time
  • Relocate up to (25) pounds
  • Travel to and from offsite meetings

  • Community Support Specialists

SCHEDULE & TRAVEL:

  • Monday-Friday from approx. 8:00 am-5:00 pm
  • This position may require occasional long hours to meet business needs
  • This position requires 30%-50% regular travel by car to local area communities (overnight travel may be required occasionally)
