Location: Meadow Vista, CA at Winchester Community Association
Reporting To: General Manager
Status: Non-Exempt, Part-Time
Salary: $15.00 per hour

EMPLOYEE OWNER POSITION PURPOSE:

The Activities Assistant is responsible for providing an exceptional customer experience while being the go-to person at the community center, including facilities and event support.

JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Promote a positive environment that fosters a customer service atmosphere
  • Perform various site duties, including, but not limited to: monitoring pool/spa usage and supporting member needs, checking towel stock and laundering as necessary, cleaning the tennis courts and surrounding areas (blowing/sweeping/washing/etc.), and other general janitorial needs
  • Provide general administrative support, including electronic correspondence, copying, filing, etc.
  • Set up event supplies (tables, chairs, and/or audio equipment)
  • Supervise the event and assist homeowners with questions
  • Restock restrooms and kitchens before, during, and after the event
  • Be available for emergency scheduling coverage during the evenings, weekends, and holidays
  • Other duties and special projects as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Familiarity with country club/hotel/high-end operations
  • Conflict resolution skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication
  • Must be a team player who is committed to delivering high-level customer service
  • Adaptable and dependable with a solid attendance record
  • Professional and respectful demeanor with all staff and guests at all times
  • Ability to work independently and follow instructions with minimal supervision

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Use standard office equipment, including: computer, phone, copier/scanner, etc.
  • Be stationary or in motion for periods of time
  • Relocate up to (40) pounds

SUPERVISES OTHERS? IF SO, LIST:

  • None

SCHEDULE & TRAVEL:

  • Part-time hours on weekends and holidays, starting Labor Day weekend, and continuing weekends throughout the fall and winter. In spring/summer, the hours will be expanded to late afternoon to evenings during the week. Expected hours between 10 and 20 hours per week
  • Shifts will vary based on business need
