Marketing Manager - Database Analytics 


Job Summary:

The Marketing Manager of Product/Service Development is responsible to evaluate, create and launch new commercial offerings that address Nixon's target market needs, create customer value, and grow Nixon revenues and/or profitability to achieve strategic goals. Dedicates time to Continuous Improvement including making and celebrating improvement videos. An associate in this position is expected to demonstrate proficiency in the following competencies: Analytical/Business Acumen, Customer Focus, Team Leadership, Thought Leadership, Brand Centric & End to End Business Approach Thinking. Success factors include Leadership Skills, Self Motivation, and Discipline.

Essential Functions:

Analytical/Business Acumen

  • Complete primary and secondary market research to understand market needs from a variety of sources, including internal resources, customers and prospects, and competitive analysis.
  • Complete analysis of each opportunity costs, revenues and pricing to support economic evaluation, prioritization, revenue generation/forecasting, ongoing operating costs and the return on investment (ROI) of each opportunity, as appropriate.
  • Establish, track and report monthly KPI's including: 1) All opportunities at each stage under development, 2) post launch efforts and results, as well as 3) existing products & services to optimize mix and support Marketing's efforts to maximize sales potential through all channels.
  • Manage a successful opportunity launch, coordinate and drive efforts to achieve, track and measure market and revenue results

Customer Focus

  • Understand client/market needs through direct interaction to help manage the development of opportunities, priorities, process, customer value and differentiation for product and service offerings.
  • Spend time in the field working directly with customers to identify, and help solve, their biggest challenges and opportunities.
  • Develop and maintain a 'Pipeline' of product & service opportunities and launch new commercial offerings to maximize value and penetration within existing accounts, new customers and target markets, aligned with Strategic plans
  • Validate offering through operational and field testing to ensure alignment with market needs and revenue potential, as well as operational and service delivery capabilities
  • Formalize operational standards and internal system settings for entire process from procurement to customer invoicing.
  • Manage trade association strategy, KPI's and budget development

  • Develop and manage key OEM and supplier relationships for product or service

Team Leadership

  • Lead cross-functional team to evaluate existing product/service offerings, optimize the company's mix of capabilities and generate new capabilities through a structured process
  • Thought Leadership
  • Develop industry knowledge through ongoing supplier research to stay abreast of new opportunities and market trends.

Brand Centric & End to End Business Approach Thinking

  • Develop and coordinate pre-launch plans with Sales, Service, Operations and Marketing Communications to create effective training plans, as well as clear Nixon value proposition to support market positioning

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to lift and move boxes occassionally

Required Credentials:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, or another related field.
  • Must be proficient in Microsoft Office suite
