The HR Generalist will be involved in the talent acquisition process including recruiting, screening, interviewing and onboarding. Our hiring process tends to be longer than other companies, but it also yields teammates who tend to stay with the company longer (our longest tenured employee has been with the company 36 years!).

The HR Generalist will also assist with the building of job descriptions and hiring processes, the promotion of opportunities through our ATS, job boards, and social media, as well as any in-person job fairs and open houses. The role will also inlcude more administrative responsibiities ranging from employee benefits to administration of FMLA, workers comp, and unemployment claims.

Position Requirements

Required Education/Skills/Experience

  • Associates Degree in Business or Human Resource related discipline
  • 3+ years of HR generalist experience
  • 1+ years of hands-on recruiting experience
  • Experience cold-calling candidates and utilizing multiple recruiting sources (i.e. LinkedIn Recruiter, Indeed, etc.)
  • Proficiency with common Applicant Tracking Systems, database software, MS Word, Excel, and leveraging social media
  • Comfortbale conducting interviews and meetings via Zoom, MS Teams, and/or other video conferencing programs
  • Excellent communication skills
  • High attention to detail
  • Efficient time management

Preferred Skills / Experience (position specific reasons not to hire)

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Management or related field preferred
  • SHRM and/or HRCI certification (PHR, SPHR, CP, SCP)
  • Experience recruiting for technical and senior-level roles
  • Track record of supporting teams in multiple locations, including employees who are full remote.
