The Vice President of People & Culture helps impact the lives of our employees by being an employee champion and by driving our company culture forward. Responsible for the supervision and management of the Credit Union's HR, culture, and training functions. Directs the development and implementation of policies and guidelines. Oversight of salary administration, employee benefits, regulatory compliance, recruitment, worker's compensation, safety/health programs, organizational culture, and all employee training/development programs. Provides advice and guidance on the interpretation of personnel policies as they relate to individuals and to Credit Union objectives. Overall maintenance of personnel records and submission of required federal, state, and local reports relating to personnel matters. This position also focuses on:
- Plans, develops, organizes, implements, directs and evaluates the organization's human resource, culture, and training function and performance. Responsible for planning, development, and implementation of effective human resource, culture, and training strategies and policies. Assists Senior Management in developing short and long term objectives, goals, and strategies. Administers operational plans, policies, and goals which further strategic objectives.

Directs the planning, design, implementation and administration of all compensation programs in order to maintain the organization's objectives and competitive position in the marketplace. Compensation responsibilities include base and total cash compensation programs, job evaluation, performance management programs and standards, long-term and short-term incentive programs, and executive compensation.

Leads the development of the organization's plans and programs as a strategic partner, but particularly from the perspective of the impact on people, culture, and training. Translates the strategic and tactical business plans into HR strategic and operational plans.

Manages the recruiting and selection activities of the company to identify needed critical skills, employ, place, and/or transfer internal and external executives, managers, professionals, technicians, and support staff to ensure adequate staffing levels. Develops staffing strategies and implementation plans and programs to identify talent within and outside the organization for positions of responsibility.

Ensure company compliance with FMLA, ADA, HIPAA, FLSA, EEOC and other federal, state and local laws. Manages all aspects of the workers compensation program. Develops and implements processes and procedures to achieve cost containment. Responsibilities include claim resolution opportunities, settlements, denials and litigation management and managing the insurance carrier to ensure effective administration of the program; and providing consultation regarding claims matters to managers and employees.

Must comply with all company policies and procedures, applicable laws and regulations, including but not limited to, the Bank Secrecy Act, the Patriot Act, and the Office of Foreign Assets Control.
Compensation Range: $97,923 - $163,206

EXPERIENCE: Eight to ten years of similar or related experience, including preparatory experience. Previous Human Resources, culture, training, and upper management experience required. Credit Union experience preferred.
EDUCATION/CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSES: A college degree in Human Resources or related field preferred.
INTERPERSONAL SKILLS: The ability to motivate or influence internal or external senior level professionals is a critical part of the job, requiring a significant level of influence and trust. Obtaining cooperation and agreement on important outcomes via frequently complex, senior level dialogues, as well as a professional level of written communication skills are essential to the position.
OTHER SKILLS: Good overall knowledge of the credit union industry's methods and systems and how Human Resources and training are effectively used and administered in the industry. Analytical ability oriented toward feasibility and cost considerations. Good problem-solving skills and ability to react quickly to arising problems.
