Opportunity Finance Network (OFN) is looking for a talented team member to support the management of OFNs marketing and strategic communications activities and marketing technology infrastructure. Duties include monitoring and updating content on OFNs websites, managing OFNs marketing technology software, tracking department key performance indicators (KPIs), and updating and organizing all marketing and communications content and brand assets for shared use across OFN.

In pursuit of our mission to align capital with social, economic, and political justice, OFN supports its 370+ member CDFIs to drive transformational change in financially underserved rural, urban, and Native communities nationwide. We help money flow to people and places where traditional finance doesnt reach. As a financial intermediary, OFN secures private capital for CDFIs through strategic partnerships with leading corporations such as Google and Twitter, mainstream financial institutions such as Bank of America and Wells Fargo, and philanthropic organizations such as the John D. and Catherine T. MacArthur Foundation and the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation.

OFN builds the strength of its membership and other CDFIs through financial products and services, events, training, research, policy advocacy, and visibility. Currently OFN has an on-balance sheet loan portfolio of $150 million and manages capital on-and off-balance sheet of nearly $1 billion and has plans to bring an additional $1 billion in new private capital to the industry.

This position is based in OFNs Washington, D.C., office. All staff currently work a hybrid schedule.

Core Responsibilities:

  • Monitor and maintain OFN websites to ensure optimal functionality and that all content is kept current and relevant.
  • Coordinate with OFN staff across departments to optimize and publish website content updates, such as career resources, OFN events, media coverage featuring OFN, and public appearances by OFN staff.
  • Manage inventory of brand assets and collateral, including graphics, success stories, and fact sheets, and ensure items are kept up to date.
  • Support management of OFNs communications and marketing technology infrastructure across multiple digital platforms, including website, email marketing, and analytics tracking, and lead coordination with vendors.
  • Track departmental performance metrics and produce reports, including quarterly report for investors, to help identify trends and inform communications content and strategy, such as SEO.
  • Track and file brand assets and other content in Salesforce and SharePoint for easy access across the organization.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with all levels of the organization to facilitate cross-functional collaboration related to marketing technology and content needs associated with this role.
  • Other related duties as needed, such as supporting OFNs annual CDFI industry conference and other events, email marketing, virtual presentations, video and graphics production, Salesforce reports and department contact list maintenance, and other core business.
 
Position Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, or other field, or 5-7 years of equivalent experience in lieu of a degree.
  • 1-3 years of demonstrated communications work experience.
  • 1-3 years of professional experience working at a national membership association, nonprofit organization, or social impact company desired.
  • A strong passion for, understanding of, and commitment to OFN’s mission, vision, and values; familiarity with the CDFI industry is a plus.
  • Strong communication skills in public and private settings both in verbal and written formats required.
  • A collaborative team player who possesses good interpersonal skills to work across all levels of the organization required.
  • Ability to adapt content, including both copy and graphics, for digital marketing platforms, fact sheets, events, and more required.
  • Adept at online content publishing required.
  • Familiarity with SEO required.
  • Tight organization, project planning skills, and close attention to detail required as the Associate supports time-critical content publishing across many platforms and maintains records for the department.
  • Ability to understand diverse perspectives required.
  • Familiarity with website, CRM, email, and other marketing technology required. This could include WordPress, Salesforce, SharePoint, Pardot, Cvent, Google Analytics, and Mentionlytics.
  • Ability to set priorities, follow through on challenging situations, and effectively manage time under moderate supervision required.
  • Must be comfortable working in a small office environment.
  • Light to moderate travel required (5-15% of time).
  • No extraordinary physical requirements beyond the ability to travel.
