Academy Support Agent 

Description

Reporting to the Technical Support Manager, you will provide support to the Academys IT department by answering phone calls and emails from Academy members and the public to assist them in engaging with the Academys online platforms, including voting, streaming, paying dues, login assistance, and more.

This is a part time, limited term position through late Spring 2023.

Responsibilities:

  • Act as one of the public faces of the Academy by engaging with Academy members or awards submitters
  • Demonstrate timely attendance and proper follow-up of work assignments and projects
  • Interface with the Technical Support Manager to communicate member needs and trends in member feedback
  • Actively maintain a thorough understanding of the Academys wide-ranging online platforms in order to effectively communicate instructions to members at a moments notice
  • Maintain a high level of professionalism and positivity at all times when communicating with members
  • Occasionally reroute incoming calls and emails to the correct department
  • Participate in training sessions with project managers to learn new platforms or refresh skills on seasonal platforms
  • Log and track each member interaction in CRM, occasionally interfacing with the IT team to make sure every inquiry is properly recorded and resolved
  • Other related tasks as assigned
 
Position Requirements
  • Must have at least 4 years’ experience in a business environment; customer service and technical support experience prioritized
  • Strong skills in the use of technology and websites required.
  • Outstanding communication skills a must, including fluency in English and a special attention to detail, formatting, and accuracy in written communications
  • CRM (preferably Microsoft Dynamics CRM) knowledge desired
  • Flexible and collaborative with a strong ability to shift direction quickly and adapt to changing priorities
  • A proven ability to handle confidential information with discretion
  • High proficiency in using MS Office, ability to work cooperatively with other Academy departments.
  • Available at least three full days per week, with weekend and early morning/late evening availability expected during Oscar season
