BETAH Associates is a professional services firm seeking a skilled and multi-faceted Project Director. The Project Director will be highly knowledgeable and experienced in project management and planning for culturally sensitive programs. Experience leading programs focused on building healthy marriages, promoting the importance of responsible fatherhood, or similar family-centric efforts. Demonstrated experience leading technical assistance and/or health marketing projects, and programs is also preferred.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
· Oversee the daily operations of a multi-faceted, fast-paced project. Traditional project management responsibilities apply – from monitoring budgets, managing staffing resources, delivering a high level of client service, and ensuring the quality of services and materials delivered.
· Assist in the implementation of project scope and objectives, involving all relevant stakeholders and ensuring technical feasibility;
· Develop a detailed project Work Plan to monitor and track progress;
· Measure project performance using appropriate tools and techniques;
· Ensure that all projects are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget;
· Successfully manage the relationship with the customer s,and all stakeholders; Direct and oversee multiple technical assistance functions, including, but not limited to facilitating communications, guidance, and marketing to local grantees, disseminating program guidance, resources, and materials. Developing and operating communities of practice for individuals to share best practices, lessons learned, promising models, and other information.
· Overseeing development and maintenance of systems, including web-based technologies, to support information dissemination and collaboration among project team members, clients, and other stakeholders.
· Providing effective management and coordination of TA services to ensure the provision of high quality, responsive, and coordinated TA services and contract deliverables, timely communication, and resolution of quality concerns and issues.
· Developing and implementing quality assurance processes that inform and improve technical assistance services' quality, responsiveness, and effectiveness .
Minimum Qualifications
· Bachelor's degree in public health, communications, or related field of study.
· 10+ years of relevant experience .
· Master's degree preferred.
· Demonstrated experience with training and technical assistance planning, delivery, best practices, and models.
· Experience delivering oral presentations to diverse professionals and audiences, including workshops and presentations.
· Experience supporting government-related training and technical assistance projects related to healthy marriages, responsible fatherhood, and other positive family-centered concepts.
· Experience working within a government contracting firm
· Exceptional writing, editing, and oral communications skills
· Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with diverse audiences
· Ability to build and support strategic partnerships
· Proficiency in M.S. Office Suite products (M.S. Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
Preferred Qualifications
· Project Management Professional (PMP) certification
· Degree in Public Health or another similar field
