The Nuclear Weapons Training and Exercise Analyst will provide CONUS/OCONUS Nuclear Weapons Training/ Exercises.

Additional Responsibilities Include, but are not Limited To:

  • Synchronizing European Nuclear Weapon Accident Incident (NWAI) lines of effort with
    partner nations.
  • Designing, planning, and executing full scale nuclear weapons exercises.
    Authoring and coordinating applicable training materials.
  • Coordinating and tracking DTRA provided NWAI training to partner nations and US
    organizations.
  • Organizing, coordinating, executing and providing expertise in CONUS/OCONUS Nuclear
    Weapons Training/Exercises and Conventional-Nuclear Integration efforts.
  • Organizing, coordinating, executing, and supporting meetings, exercise planning, evaluation testing, studies, and crisis support/emergency response pertaining to nuclear weapons operations to include providing support and administration to working groups, conferences, and pre/post-meeting support.
  • Updating and maintaining accident/incident response website(s) and databases.
  • Assisting in the development, maintenance, execution, and presentation of the nuclear
    weapon accident incident response management courses, e.g., the Nuclear Weapon Incident Response Training OCONUS (NWIRT-O).
  • Reviewing, validating, assessing, and assisting in the development of National and DoD
    nuclear weapon accident incident response policy and procedures.
  • Planning, organizing, coordinating, executing, and tracking multiple concurrent trainings,
    exercises, TTXs, workshops, seminars, meetings, and conferences.
  • Reviewing international agreements, joint plans, and other documents at the strategic,
    operational, and tactical levels of Command and Control.
  • Validating DoD and interagency policies, plans, and procedures through exercises.
  • Assessing DoD nuclear weapon security policy.
  • Overseeing implementation and effectiveness of nuclear weapon incident readiness
    (international NUWAIX) through participation in and support of high-level interagency
    working groups and conferences.
  • Providing support for facilitating international communications and training.
  • Aiding in ensuring cohesive, effective, and efficient responses to nuclear weapon accidents across international partner Government agencies.
  • Providing instructors/facilitators for international inter/intra-agency training.
  • Providing training materials, lesson plans, agendas, handbooks, etc.
  • Producing technical reports and providing briefings to senior leaders.
  • Acquire and use OSHA Approved safety-toed footwear when required.
  • Transport personnel between TDY locations and/or move equipment in performance of
    official duties.
  • Assist with proposal development, if necessary.
  • Perform other duties, as assigned.
