Diversity at our agency means fostering a workplace in which individual differences are recognized, appreciated, respected and responded to in ways that fully develop and utilize each person's talent and strengths.   Position Affordable Housing Compliance Specialist   Full-Time/Part-Time Full-Time   Location Medford, NY   Salary Starting Salary: $75,000   Days/Hours Monday-Friday; 9am-5pm   Description Concern Housing is seeking anAffordable Housing Compliance Specialist to beresponsible for maintaining compliance with Low Income Housing Tax Credit and HUD 202/811 regulations in the calulation of financial eligibility for applicants to affordable housing. Duties and Responsibilities: Monitors changes in LIHTC and HUD regulations and requirements and implements changes as indicated; Maintains tenant files of all applicable LI properties in compliance with LIHTC/HUD regulations; Processes annual and interim certifications and unit transfers; Prepares recertification notification letters; Prepares monthly, quarterly and annual reports for HUD, LIHTC syndicators and government funding sources; Participates in LIHTC/HUD reviews by outside entities; Performs internal audits of tenant files; Participates in initial lease-up of new properties; Provides assistance to the Affordable Housing Compliance team in covering properties throughout the agency, as needed; Required annual training of the Federal Fair Housing Act, Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act, and the Americans with Disabilities Act Attends trainings as required (including Relias Learning). Successful completion of LIHTC and HUD training including a passing score on the exam; Attendance at weekly supervision meetings and departmental meetings, as scheduled; Remain current with all Agency required compliance documents and trainings; Additional tasks as required. Salary: $75,000/year         Position Requirements Individual in this position should possess strong organizational skills and a detail-oriented approach. Strong computer literacy skills are essential to this position. Must have certification in Low Income Housing Tax Credit and HUD 202/811 compliance or successfully pass training in these areas. Good verbal and written communication skills are also required. Bachelor’s Degree and LIHTC/HUD 202/811 compliance related work experience preferred.  Yardi experience and xperience and/or education in working with people with disabilities is a plus. This position will work in our Brooklyn and/or Long Island locations.
