These are temporary or temp-to-perm position providing full-time coverage (8am-5pm) for inpatient medicine teams at a Kansas City area hospital. Missouri licensure (LMSW or LCSW) and previous acute medical experience is required. Social workers will be responsible for: Develops a comprehensive psychosocial assessment to age appropriate patient/family needs and concerns; Develops a plan of intervention for the purpose of strengthening coping abilities and promoting adjustment; Collaborates with patient, family and health care team to make an appropriate discharge plan based upon medical / psychiatric needs, quality of support system, financial resources, and coping skills. Documents all activities in the electronic medical record;   Position Requirements Candidates must have a masters degree in social work from an accredited school of social work and be licensed in Missouri as a LMSW or LCSW.
