The HR Assistant supports the Human Resources department by providing administrative support, compiling reports, facilitating temporary staffing support, and planning/scheduling company events. The position also serves as initial contact for incoming telephone calls and visitors. The role is responsible for maintaining office security by following company safety procedures and assists with clerical duties as needed.


  • Assists with payroll administration
  • Creates employee birthday report for management
  • Creates and manages sign in sheet for visitors, temps, and contractors
  • Administers the employee recognition program
  • Participates in planning or organizing employee events and parties
  • Schedules and manages CEO/Employee Town Hall meetings
  • Maintains and edits the information monitors located throughout the offices
  • Sorts/mails/distributes employee paychecks
  • Completes employment verification requests
  • Prepares responses to legal requests for employee documents

Temporary Staffind Support

  • Ensures completion of onboarding paperwork
  • Assembles temporary employee packets
  • Verifies temporary employee new hire paperwork is completed
  • Helps update temporary employee spreadsheet

Call Management

  • Answers all incoming telephone calls with courtesy and responsiveness and dispatches those calls to the intended parties promptly and accurately
  • Re-routes all voice mail messages left on main message mailbox during off hours to the intended parties' voicemail systems
  • Remains alert to undelivered phone messages of an urgent nature and bring them to the attention of a supervisor
  • Maintains a professional appearance of reception area at all times - clean, attractive and uncluttered

Covid 19 Management

  • Performs daily audits of symptom tracking systems
  • Monitors employee and visitor compliance with symptom tracking systems
  • Compiles reports to track the effectiveness of the symptom tracking systems and to document employee non-compliance
  • Enters new employees into symptom tracking systems and provides training

This position will perform other duties as assigned based on the needs of the department.

Position Requirements
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • 1 - 3 years of administration/HR/receptionist experience
  • Minimum 1 year of experience in a professional environment
