TruBridge, subsidiary of CPSI, offers an exciting opportunity to serve as a leader in our Health Information Services Division as a Coding Manager. Our Coding Managers play an integral role in managing the Client relationship and Medical Coding Team. Experience working with multiple Electronic Health Records and previous experience managing coding services will serve the candidate well. The Coding Manager serves as a best practice expert to assist our clients with daily challenges in the HIM department related to coding, as well as constantly evaluating staff performance, efficiency and excellence.

Minimum Requirements:

Education/Experience/Certification Requirements

  • Excellent communication (written and oral) and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong organizational, multi-tasking, and time-management skills.
  • Must be detail oriented and able to follow through on issues to resolution.
  • Must be able to act both independently and as a team member.
  • Advanced computer skills including Word, Excel and Powerpoint.
  • 4-year degree or equivalent health information leadership experience; AHIMA certification required (RHIT/RHIA) or AAPC Certification
  • Experience coding or managing coding services in a hospital or vendor environment

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of HIM management experience
  • In depth understanding of ICD-10 and CPT coding rules and regulations
  • Ability to identify opportunities for improvement and make constructive suggestions for change
  • Flexible, persuasive and tactful
  • Demonstrated ability to elicit cooperation from a wide variety of sources, including upper management, line managers and operational personnel
  • Experience working with multiple EHR's.
  • Well developed presentation skills and ability to develop and deliver best practice presentations to clients and professional organizations and conferences.
Position Requirements

All Coding Positions require:

• Coding Credential Required: AHIMA or AAPC credential (RHIA, RHIT, CCS, CPC, or COC)

• 2 - 5 years medical coding experiance
