The Kahala Hotel & Resort is seeking to expand our retail ohana in the Waikiki area. Daily operating hours will be mid-morning to early evening.
Under the guidance of the Retail Manager and within limits of The Kahala Hotel and Resort policies, ensure all operational procedures, codes of conduct and standards of appearance are adhered to by all staff. To be a member of a happy and motivated team and ensure the smooth running of our retail outlets at all times. Assist with daily sales of merchandise as well as inventory maintenance and replenishing.
• Meets and greets guests as they arrive, offer assistance and bid a warm farewell to all guests, thanks them, asks them to return.
• To aim to give the guest the best possible service, and make the guest feel important. The interest of the guest is paramount.
• To show a professional attitude at all times, particularly with regard to punctuality, appearance, general manner and responsibility.
• To be held responsible for all sales transactions and all monies taken in return for retail products.
• Ensure the Boutique is tidy, clean and stocked at all times.
• Maintain data information on inventory and daily sales.
• Maintain log book recording any unusual or attention requiring incidents.
• To attend all training courses and meetings as deemed necessary, and must adhere to training as set by the Retail Manager.
• To study and learn the necessary tools to operate computer equipment and software.
• Consistent use of telephone manner and high standards of communication skills with all guests and colleagues alike.
• To recognize the importance of “sales” in every aspect of their role and be responsible for achieving sales targets as set by the Retail Manager.
• To be adaptable and accountable for all actions.
• Provide instruction and guidance for guest and employee safety in the event of fire, power outage or other emergency situations.
• Ascertains guest satisfaction. In the event of dissatisfaction, refers the incident to the manager.
• Complies with accounting guideline regarding receipt of payments, checks total verification, cash drawer and house bank management.
• Balances house bank at the end of the shift. Retrieves and returns bank from vault to work station and return, to ensure accountability.
