Inside Sales Business Consultant

The Inside Sales Business Consultant is the primary contact for inbound leads from clients and prospects that want to learn about and setup all dealership facing NCM products and services. This role will also seek to uncover strategic opportunities to increase the penetration of all NCMi, Retail Solutions, and Software products and services with the clients we currently serve.


  • Answers all inbound leads and sets up Training, 20 Group, Proprietary, Consulting and Software options with the client.
  • Processes all 20 Group, Proprietary and Consulting engagement opportunities for the client and works to ensure the client is served the appropriate product and services for the specific business need based on the client's current needs-analysis.
  • Works with the CEC, Moderators, Consultants, Instructors and vendors (internal and external resources) to source for all open seat requirements from NCMi to ensure each class has the maximum attendance to meet class size constraints.
  • Collaborates with leaders and Salesforce resources to establish proactive calling strategies to fill available seats in future classes.
  • Creates professional and personalized product road maps for clients by searching for hidden needs through asking questions with each prospective client.
  • Partners with the Sales Manager to ensure the sales strategy is focused on the current needs of NCM ensuring targets and budgets are accomplished.
  • Proactively search for renewal opportunities on subscriptions by engaging the client throughout the usage timeframe.
  • Works with Marketing department to develop and exchange business development ideas, and fulfill follow-up calls and emails from marketing campaigns.
  • Utilizes Salesforce (CRM) to track leads and opportunities through the sales pipeline, while assuring all accounts, contacts and records are updated with current data.
  • Creates proactive customer calls and emails based on strategic business drivers to retain and grow the product lifecycle with each existing client.
Position Requirements

The following education, experience, competencies and behavioral skills are needed to perform this job successfully:


  • Bachelor’s Degree preferred, however, requirement may be satisfied with equivalent combination of education and experience.


  • A minimum of 2 years related work or industry experience.
  • A minimum of 2 years inbound or new business acquisition sales experience.


  • Proven track record of success in an inbound sales role.
  • Knowledge of CRM/databases, a plus.
  • Advanced capabilities with Microsoft Office.
  • Strong time management skills.
  • Superior ability to multi-task.
  • Strong attention to detail.

Physical Demands

  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is routinely required to stand, walk, sit, speak, hear, see and use hands to handle objects.
  • Must be able to answer phone and listen and speak with clients and co-workers.
  • Must be able to concentrate/focus with constant interruptions.
  • The employee may occasionally lift and/or move up to 5 pounds.

Work Environment

  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee will typically be in an office environment.
