Therapist I- Child & Adolescent Mobile Crisis

Annual Salary: $45,136.00

Monday-Friday 8:30am-5:00pm

 

Since 1971, Hampton-Newport News Community Services Board has provided a comprehensive continuum of high-quality, essential, and community-based services to citizens of the Peninsula who are affected by mental illness, developmental disabilities, and substance use disorders.  

The Therapist I will provide mobile crisis intervention, assesment, and safety planning to youth with or at risk of serious emotional disturbance and/or co-occuring substance related disorders. Works closely with the parent/family in settings where children and families are most comfortable which may include the home, school sites, or othher approatie setting.

Requirements: Master's Degree in Human Services (Social Work, Psychology, or Counseling) with one (1) year clinical experience with the assigned population. Must provide proof of registration for supervision toward licensure with the Virginia Department of Health Professionals (LPC or LCSW or LCP) within 90 days of employment.

As a condition of employment with Hampton – Newport News CSB, you are required to provide proof that you are fully vaccinated for COVID 19 or fit within an exemption under the law. Accordingly if selected, employment is conditioned on providing proof of vaccination or having an approved exemption prior to starting employment.

The selected candidate must successfully pass a criminal history fingerprint background investigation, Child Registry search, drug screening test and employment reference checks.
