Our comprehensive cardiology group is expanding and looking to add to our team.

Cardiac Solutions utilizes a personalized, team-oriented approach to patient care promoting wellness through education, innovation, and technology. Our focus helps to prevent the progression of heart disease and minimize patient hospital admissions. We offer intensive educational opportunities for patients through our disease management clinics and employ a multidisciplinary approach which includes physicians, physician assistants, nurse practitioners, nurses, pharmacy support, medical assistants, and additional clinical and non-clinical support teams.

Pay ranging from $18.50 to $23.00+ per hour depending on experience and education. This position may also eligible for a $1,000 Sign-On Bonus.

POSITION SUMMARY:

This entry level position is responsible for triaging all incoming patient concerns as defined within department protocols and guidelines.

ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES:

  • Creates and routes phone notes to the appropriate person or department
  • Responds to all patient questions, returns all calls and voicemails within 24 hours.
  • Processes and completes all items assigned in the clinical check out bucket within 24 hours.
  • Sort and process all documents in Faxcom that is assigned to triage
  • Assist with processing of any prescription refills
  • Review all Rx renewals daily for any unmatched patients
  • Checks cardiac clearance Faxcom folder and Triage Clarification folder daily
  • Creates and routes all cardiac clearance request as appropriate.
  • Creates and routes all dental clearance requests as appropriate
  • Address after hours phone notes for Physicians if not previously addressed
  • Check emails, clinical check out flags, and patient portal messages and respond as needed daily.
  • Process all Patient Assistance and Prior Authorization forms, documents and flags
  • Any other duties as assigned
 
Position Requirements

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

  • Must have critical thinking skills and be able to provide information and recommendation based on common knowledge.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office products.
  • Knowledge of HIPAA regulations.
  • Knowledge of business office procedures.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality.
  • Ability to multi-task.
  • Ability to work in a fast paced-environment and work well under pressure.
  • Ability to work effectively with others.
  • Ability to maintain professionalism at all times.
  • Skill in keyboard typing and use of multi-line telephone system.

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:

  • Completion of an accredited Medical Assisting Program or equivalent required.
  • Cardiology experience is desired.
  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Medical terminology required.
  • Detail oriented.
  • Familiarity with cardiac medications and procedures preferred.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
