Since 1971, Hampton-Newport News Community Services Board has provided a comprehensive continuum of high-quality, essential, and community-based services to citizens of the Peninsula who are affected by mental illness, developmental disabilities, and substance use disorders.
Addiction and Recovery Treatment Servcies (ARTS) Case Management Services support individuals, who are impacted by the use of substances, to achieve and maintain optimal functioning in the least restrictive, most normative community setting. Case Management meets the personal, interpersonal, occupational/educational and social needs of adults who are diagnosed with substance use and/or co-occurring disorders (substance use and metal health disorders).
The Case Manager ensures continuity of directly provided and contractual services to individuals with mental illness, intellectual developmental disabilities, at risk, seriously emotionally disturbed and substance abusing populations. Case Managers assist individuals with their basic physical, financial, social and personal needs. Case management services for the individual can include outreach, psychological and need assessments, treatment planning and service provider linkage, monitoring, coordinating, advocacy, counseling and crisis intervention, daily living support, medication supervision, and similar functions.

Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Human Services (Social Work, Psychology, Sociology or Counseling) with one (1) year experience providing case management services to individuals with a diagnosis of substance use disorder or co-occurring diagnosis of substance use disorder and mental illness.
Valid Drivers License. Please submit your Department of Motor Vehicle driving record current within the last 60 days.
As a condition of employment with Hampton – Newport News CSB, you are required to provide proof that you are fully vaccinated for COVID 19 or fit within an exemption under the law.
