Share Email Opening Title Security Support Technician  Category Security   Description The Security Support Technician will provide a wide range of support to the Security Forces Squadron staff at the Tyndall Visitor's Control Center (VCC) and the Commercial Vehicle entry gate. Additional Responsibilities Include, but are not Limited To: Security Support Technician shall assist with security activities, in support of reconstruction projects. This includes, but is not limited to, the following: Process security backgrounds for base pass and ID requirements for base visit requests for a large number of construction contractor personnel, supporting the Tyndall AFB rebuild effort. Process security backgrounds for base visitor passes, contractor badges, recreational badges, military affairs committee badges, and agent/commander letter badges. Responsible for issuing and maintaining Tyndall's restricted area badges to include annual and periodic inventories. Performs local files checks through NCIC/FCIC on all extended visitor passes, contractor badges and special function. Manages Defense Biometrics Identification System (DBIDS); ensures 100% registration of all personnel and vehicles. Building Custodian for setting up NCIC station along with setting up additional NPIR Access to DBIDS Stations. Alternate work schedules may be required, with prior government approval. Work on this contract may require that personnel have access to Privacy Information. All personnel shall adhere to the Privacy Act of 1974, Title 5 of the United States Code, Section 552a and applicable agency rules and regulations. Assist with proposal development, if necessary.
