Share Email Opening Title Remote Microsoft 365 Engineer - Contract/1099  Category Information Technology   Description We are seeking a Microsoft 365 Engineer to support our Managed Services Division (MSD) in a remote/telework/work from home capacity.   Sawdey’s Managed Services Division (MSD) is a full-service Managed Service Provider (MSP)/Managed Security Service Provider (MSSP) providing IT and/or cybersecurity services to a variety of different clients (defense/government contractors, municipalities, commercial organizations, etc.).   Description: The Microsoft 365 Engineer is responsible for working with new and existing clients to design, implement, migrate, and support their Office 365 environments.   Additional Responsibilities Include, but are not Limited To: Develop implementation and migration plans that meet project goals and security requirements. Work independently or with client IT staff to complete project tasks as efficiently and timely as possible. Proactively communicate with clients to inform them of project progress, impending changes, and agreed upon outages. Create technical documentation outlining system architecture and implementation. Execute multiple types of Exchange migrations (e.g., hybrid, Office 365 tenant-to-tenant, hosted-to-cloud). Execute SharePoint migrations (on-premises-to-cloud, Office 365 tenant-to-tenant). Configure, troubleshoot, and support Exchange Online, SharePoint Online, Teams, OneDrive for Business, Intune, and Azure Active Directory. Manage and deploy Intune in effort to meet policy and compliance goals. Provide system administrator support relating to technical issues involving Microsoft’s core business applications and operating systems. Communicate with managers regarding client project statuses. Stay current on new industry specific technologies as it relates to the position. Assist with proposal development, if necessary.
