Description

We are seeking a Microsoft 365 Engineer to support our Managed Services Division (MSD) in a remote/telework/work from home capacity.

 

Sawdey’s Managed Services Division (MSD) is a full-service Managed Service Provider (MSP)/Managed Security Service Provider (MSSP) providing IT and/or cybersecurity services to a variety of different clients (defense/government contractors, municipalities, commercial organizations, etc.).

 

Description:

The Microsoft 365 Engineer is responsible for working with new and existing clients to design, implement, migrate, and support their Office 365 environments.

 

Additional Responsibilities Include, but are not Limited To:

  • Develop implementation and migration plans that meet project goals and security requirements.
  • Work independently or with client IT staff to complete project tasks as efficiently and timely as possible.
  • Proactively communicate with clients to inform them of project progress, impending changes, and agreed upon outages.
  • Create technical documentation outlining system architecture and implementation.
  • Execute multiple types of Exchange migrations (e.g., hybrid, Office 365 tenant-to-tenant, hosted-to-cloud).
  • Execute SharePoint migrations (on-premises-to-cloud, Office 365 tenant-to-tenant).
  • Configure, troubleshoot, and support Exchange Online, SharePoint Online, Teams, OneDrive for Business, Intune, and Azure Active Directory.
  • Manage and deploy Intune in effort to meet policy and compliance goals.
  • Provide system administrator support relating to technical issues involving Microsoft’s core business applications and operating systems.
  • Communicate with managers regarding client project statuses.
  • Stay current on new industry specific technologies as it relates to the position.
  • Assist with proposal development, if necessary.
  • Perform other duties, as assigned.
 
Position Requirements

Experience:

  • Five (5) + years of IT-related experience.
  • Three (3) + years of experience performing 365 migrations.
  • Must have experience working with at least some of the following:
    • Microsoft/Office 365 Commercial, Government Community Cloud (GCC), and GCC-High
    • Azure Active Directory and Azure Government
    • Azure Sentinel
    • Exchange
    • SharePoint
    • OneDrive
    • Teams
    • Microsoft Defender
    • AvePoint FLY

 

  • Preferred, but not required experience working with:
    • NIST Frameworks such as NIST 800-53, 800-171, and CSF
    • Managed Services

 

Education:

  • Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in an IT-related field preferred.

 

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations:

  • A certification from the following list is preferred but not required:
    • CompTIA A+
    • CompTIA Network+
    • CompTIA Security+
    • Microsoft Certified Technology Associate (MTA)
    • Microsoft Certified Solutions Administrator (MCSA)
    • Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate
    • Microsoft Certified: Azure Security Engineer Associate
    • Microsoft 365 Certified: Security Administrator Associate
    • Microsoft 365 Certified: Messaging Administrator Associate
    • Microsoft 365 Certified: Teams Administrator Associate
    • Microsoft 365 Certified: Enterprise Administrator Expert

 

Other Required Skills & Abilities:

  • Must be able to effectively communicate with customer and fulfill all duties and responsibilities as listed in the contract.
  • Must be proficient in Microsoft Office suite including, but not limited to: Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Outlook.

 

COVID-19 Vaccination Requirement:

  • While the vaccine mandate for federal contractors and subcontractors is still being decided, we are continuing to collect vaccination record cards and accepting requests for legal accommodations (approval of a legal accommodation is not guaranteed). Although providing this documentation is not required at this time, we appreciate your cooperation in voluntarily providing this documentation to us should the Executive Order be upheld in the courts.

 

Security Clearance:

  • Must be able to pass a Background Investigation.

 

US Citizenship: This position supports a U.S. Government Contract whose terms require Sawdey Solution Services to staff it only with U.S. Citizens.
