We are hiring an Engineering Technician II for aerospace/aviation manufacturing. We do painting, soldering, wiring, machining, quality inspection, and more. Our products go onto commercial aircraft, private planes, and fighter jets.

We offer a 9/80 work schedule where you can have every other Friday off with a slightly longer workday throughout the remaining week days. (NO WEEKENDS OR HOLIDAYS!!) You will be offered benefits starting the first of the month following your hire date, including paid holidays, health/vision/dental insurance, 401(k), bonus, and other great benefits. Your 90-day probationary period will focus on attendance, quality, quantity, and LSIs core values (Teamwork, Passion, Continuous Improvement, Integrity, and Enduring Relationships.)

Summary

Performs high-level electronic troubleshooting tasks to support production throughput and product returns

Essential duties and responsibilities

  • Troubleshoot non-functioning electronic assemblies
    • Confirm problem identified
    • Identify the issue causing the problem
    • Write up repair instructions
    • Document the issue in the database
    • Assist in determining root cause
    • Provide feedback to engineering
  • Participate in technical and product related meetings

Education and Experience

High School Diploma or GED

Minimum 5 years of technically related experience.

Work Authorization/Security Clearance

Due to federal contract obligations, must be a US Citizen or Permanent Resident

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

Does not have any supervisory responsibilities but may serve as a coach and mentor for other positions within the organization.

Language Skills

Able to read, write and comprehend English instructions, correspondence, memos and specifications

Communication/Leadership Skills

Must be able to effectively communicate instructions to team(s). Must be a responsible role model for all employees in the company. Must be able to work in a team environment among peers.

Mathematical Skills

Able to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measurement, common fractions and decimals.

Technical Skills

Advanced understanding and ability to use electronic test equipment such as power supplies, digital multi-meters, and oscilloscopes as well as automated test equipment and associated user interface programs. Able to comprehend schematics of complex electronic circuits. Able to use Microsoft Office tools such as Word, Excel and Outlook proficiently. Able to use schematic capture and board layout tools such as PADs for the purpose of viewing and querying.

Reasoning Ability

Able to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Possess the ability to identify problems, deal with them, and work towards a solution.

Physical Demands *

While performing the duties of this job the employee is occasionally required to stand, walk, sit, use hands to pull handles and push buttons. Requirements may also include climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching or crawling. The employee must occasionally lift and or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and distance vision.
