Job Summary:

The role of the Medical Assistant Trainer is to develop and to conduct training programs for our new and existing SBCM practices. As a trainer, you will work with our physicians, nurse practitioners, physician assistants and other staff to ensure that our EMR enhances physician productivity and the delivery of patient care.

 

Essential Job Functions: 

  •  Be able to interact with practice personnel to facilitate training on the EMR.
  • Keen understanding of clinical work flows and how software can aid in patient care. Develop, prepare and lead training sessions in group and one-on-one settings.
  • Create and maintain learning curriculum for new and existing staff.
  • Work with management to provide communications on system updates.
  • Create e-learning tips and training materials.
  • Document, provide feedback, answer questions and provide enhancement requests.
  • Travel to sites to provide on-site support.
  • Identify opportunities for process and quality improvement for patient flow.
  • Provide excellent customer service

Position Requirements

Qualifications:

  • Clinical Background as Medical Assistant.
  • A minimum of 2 to 5 years of clinical experience
  • Educational, Training, Presentation and Listening Skills
  • Working knowledge of Electronic Medical Records and other Software
  • Experience in Physician Practices
  • Excellent communication, decision making, leadership and problem solving skills

 

The job may require from time to time to lift light to moderate amounts of weight (e.g., boxes of medical/facility supplies). Heavy computer use required.

In accordance with the New York State Department of Health (DOH) order that all hospitals and nursing homes “continuously require all covered personnel to be fully vaccinated against COVID-19.” Upon receipt of a conditional job offer, candidates who are not already vaccinated must obtain the first dose of the vaccine within three (3) calendar days of job offer and must obtain any subsequent doses in accordance with the vaccine protocol. The order allows for limited medical exemptions with reasonable accommodations, consistent with applicable law.
