Director of Key Account Management  

Description

Reporting to the VP of Sales. The Director of Key Account Management (DKAM) primary objectives are to:

1) maintain and expand commercial relationships with strategically important customers,

2) lead cross functional teams to pursue and sign new accounts, and

3) achieve revenue growth targets.

The DKAM will have the ability to leverage support from throughout the organization to meet the company’s key account objectives. He/she is responsible for achieving strategic objectives and represents the entire range of company products and services for designated key Nixon customers and targeted new prospects. This position will lead the account planning cycle and ensuring the customer’s needs and expectations are met by Nixon.

Essential Functions:

  • Achieves assigned sales quota, revenue growth and profitability objectives for a portfolio of designated Key Accounts consisting of a subset of Nixon customers and new prospects
  • Manage, coach and empower a team of senior sales associates to accomplish the same sales goals, process and objectives independently
  • Takes leadership role to be directly involved, assign ownership or personally sign Customer agreements and secure business, as required
  • Leads through a direct staff and matrix management process to empower and leverage cross-functional teams, secure key account retention, and build revenue growth
  • Establishes productive relationships with key personnel in assigned customer accounts.
  • Coordinates the involvement of company personnel, including support, service, and management resources, in order to meet account performance objectives and customer’s expectations
  • Proactively leads a joint company-key account planning process that develops mutual performance objectives, financial targets, and critical milestones (existing revenue, agreement renewal, new sales revenue)
  • Proactively assesses, clarifies, and validates customer needs on an ongoing basis
  • Leads solution development efforts that optimize customer needs with Nixon capabilities; while coordinating the involvement of all necessary company personnel as required
  • Manage, track and report on progress of the SAM Sales process through standard weekly reporting, Sales Pipeline reviews, staff coaching, and account plan development
  • Ensure that strategic customer account plans are completed to company standards
  • Directly involved in hiring process for senior level sales associates across regions or territories
  • Establishes and leads the implementation of SAM account sales process and as is accountable for team compliance

Maintains high customer satisfaction ratings per company standard or goals

  • Highly proficient at public speaking and presentations

Required Credentials:

  • 8+ years of Sales experience with a proven track record of Sales and/or goal attainment
  • 4+ years of experience as a senior manager of a sales team or organization
  • 5+ years’ experience selling to Healthcare systems and or out-patient providers
  • Bachelor's degree
  • Willingness & flexibility to relocate for growth opportunities, a strong plus
