Come on board and feel the tremendous reward of improving the lives of all those who enter our doors!   Description Gardener at Ashton Garden or Water Tower Campus Wage: $12-$15.00/hour DOE Spring Shift: M-F 7am – 3:30pm, some Saturdays Fall Shift: M-F 6am – 2:30pm, some Saturdays Seasonal: March- October, with possibility of winter work Summary: Do you enjoy working outside and with your hands? Would you like to be a part of collaborative, supportive, and fun team that brings the wonders of the natural world to life? Then we would love you on our team!   Responsibilities: General gardening, weeding, flower deadheading, planting, pruning, cultivating and topdressing of flower and shrub beds. Seasonal flower planting and removal along with pruning of perennials and ornamental grasses Keep garden beautiful by sweeping paths, collecting and emptying garbage, and raking Install holiday lights Uphold Thanksgiving Point’s Mission and Values Other tasks as assigned by Garden supervisor   Requirements: Hard working with the ability to understand and carry out directions Manages time effectively and is productive without direct supervision Able to work in all types of weather conditions Has an eye for detail with specific attention to gardening standards Able to lift up to 50 lbs. 1-2 years of gardening experience preferred but not required.
