Job Summary
Responsible for providing building information modeling (BIM) services for Company projects. This position works closely with project managers and others to develop and facilitate the planning strategies as required for each specific project, in alignment with all Company policies, procedures, key objectives and regulations.
Essential Functions

- Facilitates BIM and planning strategies on assigned projects from inception through completion, in consultation with the project team.
- Completes 2D and 3D drafting tasks to support electrical construction initiatives, utilizing standard Company software.
- Supports and complies with all BIM, prefab, technologies and planning standards. Provides recommendations for changes to improve standards and procedures as necessary.
- Attends BIM coordination meetings and maintains appropriate communications with all appropriate parties as needed. Makes plan changes according to feedback received.
- Responds to questions and addresses problems with appropriate resolutions and plan revisions as needed.
- Researches different lighting sources and electrical devices to ensure proper items are utilized for each job.
- Stays informed of new electrical and safety codes, materials, technologies, techniques and practices.
- Participates in electrical construction-related training to maintain a high level of proficiency and updated technical skills.
- Builds effective relationships with customers, foremen, project team, specialty contractors, vendors, suppliers, user groups and others that reflect and support the Companys core values and meet or exceed the customers expectations.
- Accurately and confidentially maintains Company records and other sensitive data.
- Maintains compliance with all federal, state and local laws and regulations.
- Practices LEAN concepts and methodologies, and influences co-workers to do the same.
- Maintains professional and technical knowledge by establishing solid networks and communicating well with co-workers, customers, project managers, foremen, sub-contractors, vendors, office staff and field personnel.
- Supports the mission, vision and values of the Company and works creatively to best support the Companys long-term goals. Champions and models the Company culture at all times.
- Provides mentoring and training to co-workers as needed.
- Performs other tasks and duties as assigned.
- Follows all guidelines, policies and procedures established by the Company.
Required Education, Experience and Skills
- Associates Degree or equivalent work experience in building information modeling (BIM) trade school, engineering or a related field.
- Minimum 1-3 years of BIM modeling experience.
- Experience and proficiency using Revit, AutoCAD, SketchUp, Visio and Navisworks software.
- Proficiency using Bluebeam and Adobe PDF tools.
- Skills to read, interpret and understand electrical contracts, plans, drawings and specifications.
- Basic project management training, experience and skills. Understanding of the project life cycle.
- Knowledge of LEAN concepts and methodologies. Strong process orientation.
- Demonstrated enthusiasm for expanding knowledge and skills to meet the needs of a dynamic technology office while directly contributing to the success of others.
- Strong organizational skills and detail orientation.
- Demonstrated strong mathematical and analytical skills.
- Strong problem-solving, detail orientation, customer service and time management skills. Demonstrates good judgement in reporting problems.
- Strong collaboration, teamwork and interpersonal skills.

- Proficient skills in Microsoft Office software applications.
- Holds a valid drivers license.
Preferred Education and Experience
- Electrical BIM experience.
- Basic knowledge of the National Electrical Code.
