Share Email Opening Title Integration Engineer (2022-131)  Astronics Subsidiary Astronics AES   Location Kirkland, WA   Description JOB SUMMARY The Integration Engineer will support the engineering development and production of Aerospace electronic assemblies. ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS Development and test of aircraft cabin power and data distribution systems. Qualify new product to electrical, environmental, and EMI/EMC test conditions. Create test procedures per Boeing (D6), Airbus (ABD), and RTCA (DO160) requirements. Verify, process, and present test data to create reports and analyses. Design engineering cables, fixtures, test loads, manual and automated test systems. Support and improve electrical, environmental, and integration lab capabilities. Communicate activities to program management, engineers, and support technicians.   Position Requirements MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS Education/Experience: Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related science-based discipline preferred. Electronics military schooling and experience is considered. Significant experience in related job functions, competencies, and skills may be considered in lieu of formal education. Demonstrates competency (typically 5+ years of direct experience in the essential functions of the position). Demonstrates proficiency (typicall 8+ years of direct experience in the essential functions of the position), is preferred. Competencies: Coordinate new product design verification, qualification, and system integration testing. Define and support small, mid, and large-scale test systems per project requirements. Lead a small team of engineering technicians to meet project deliverables. Improve lab capabilities to increase reliability, efficiency, and quality of test results. Motivates others, is a self-starter, and leads by example. Communicates regularly, clearly, and professionally to all team members. Technical Skills: Equipment: power analyzers, o’scopes, various meters, programmable power sources, digital and analog loads, data acquisition devices Office and Apps: LabVIEW, AutoCAD, Mathcad, VibrationView, FrameMaker, technical writing, data analysis, Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams Lab Systems: RF emissions, RF susceptibility, vibration, air pressure fixtures, fluids testing, humidity, thermal chambers, ESD, power testing, centrifuges, systems integration ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS Must be a US Person (under ITAR rules) to be eligible.
