With such a variety of activities available, it should not come as a surprise that Kaukauna is also known as 'The Friendly City.'   Position Laborer   Description Position Summary: The laborer position is physically demanding in nature. The laborer position performs heavy manual labor including shoveling, raking, painting, lifting, bending, etc. Work is assigned by the Street Superintendent or Street Foreman. This position has a direct impact on completing projects and maintance for the City. Major Position Duties: Garbage collection, drive trucks, paints, shovels crosswalks, clean parks, clean sewers, cuts weeds, trims trees, shovels asphalt, picks up leaves, and rakes terraces. Required to drive trucks and help in general street maintenance. Other duties as assigned   Position Requirements Qualifications: High School Diploma or equivalent Ability to write, read, understand and follow instructions Truck driving experience desired Must possess the ability to perform heavy manual work and lifting for extended periods in all kinds of weather CDL preferred or must be able to obtain within 60 days of hire.     Full-Time/Part-Time Full-Time   Exempt/Non-Exempt Non-Exempt   Shift Days   Compensation $24.46 per hour; Hours are 7:00a.m. - 3:30p.m. Monday - Friday   Benefits Health and Dental Insurance, Wisconsin Retirement System, Life Insurance, Vacation, Sick, and Holiday Pay.
