Drives commercial vehicles equipped to transport a variety of materials and equipment.   Essential Duties/Responsibilities Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions. Assists crew leader in construction, reconstruction and maintenance work Assists equipment operators by swamping, hand digging and locating underground obstructions Signals equipment operators to facilitate alignment, movement, and adjustment of machinery, equipment, and materials Cleans and prepare construction sites to eliminate possible hazards Cleans, checks fluid levels and conducts a visual inspection of vehicle/equipment to assure vehicle/equipment is performing at optimum safety, performs the required pre-trip, post trip inspections and the required paperwork, perform needed maintenance including winterizing equipment Utilizes defensive driving practices Operates truck in a manner that ensures compliance with all applicable company, state and federal safety regulations Follows required company and DOT reporting procedures Chips, scrapes, and grinds high spots, ridges, and rough projections to finish concrete and asphalt, using pneumatic chisels, power grinders, jackhammers, pneumatic chisels, and hand tools Works safely around backhoes, excavators, and dump truck   Other Duties/Responsibilities Performs other duties as assigned   Employees are held accountable for all duties of this job.     Position Requirements Experience: One (1+) plus years experience working with asphalt and/or concrete is required An equivalent combination of education and experience may be substituted on a year to year basis   Additional Requirements/Licenses/Certifications: Possession of a valid Commercial Driver’s License (CDL-A) is required Candidates must pass Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) background checks, a Department of Transportation (DOT) regulated physical as a requirement of the job and pass a pre-employment drug screen     Open Date 8/4/2022   Close Date   EOE Statement We are an equal employment opportunity employer.
