We are looking for a tenacious, results-focused Account Manager to develop sales strategies, identify potential customers, and enhance and maintain relationships with existing customers for all aspects of our North Carolina/Virgina operation, including Waste to Energy/Alternative Fuels, Recycling, and Industrial Services (vacuum truck services, pressure washing, tank cleaning, etc.). The successful candidate will play a key role in increasing Company revenue by managing and negotiating with clients, generating leads, qualifying prospects, and managing sales in the NC/VA Region.

About the Role

  • Manage a well-developed pipeline of potential customers at amounts to exceed revenue goals
  • Identify viable leads, manage prospects and acquire new, profitable customers to meet and exceed established targeted revenue goals
  • Build long-term relationships with contractors, prospective and existing clients in designated market.
  • Help customers select services based on their needs, specifications, and regulations
  • Emphasize company features based on analyses of customers' needs and technical knowledge of company capabilities and limitations
  • Answer customers' questions about prices, timelines, and logistics
  • Negotiate prices and terms of sale and service agreements
  • Prepare sales contracts and submit orders for processing
  • Collaborate with colleagues to exchange information, such as selling strategies and marketing information
  • Follow up with customers to make sure they are satisfied with their services and to answer any questions or concerns
  • Lead staff-wide effort to develop proposals to submit competitive bids to RFP’s

 

About You

  • 10 years of sales experience in managing multiple accounts in a diverse set of industrial fields (ideally, Waste to Energy, field/industrial services, Recycling).
  • Knowledge and experience of performing job walks and cost estimation in the environmental field
  • Able to plan and manage large contracts in an efficient manner
  • Working knowledge of federal and state hazardous waste classifications
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills
  • Decision-making, problem resolution, and creative thinking skills
  • Responsible, and professional team player
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office and Contact Relationship Management (CRM)
  • Experience in Industrial Environmental Field Services a plus
  • 40-Hr HAZWOPER certificate and annual 8-hour refreshers a plus
