The  Senior Internal Auditor works closely with our Supervisory Committee to complete the annual risk assessment, audit plan development, audit execution, analyzing and evaluating data, and prepares various reports for our executives and Board. Contributes to the achievement of the goals of Internal Audit and Issue Management programs.

 

Here is a snapshot of what our Senior Internal Auditors day-to-day looks like:

  • Expert level administration of policy and procedures related to Bank Secrecy Act (BSA), Anti-Money Laundering (AML), Customer Identification Program (CIP) and Customer Due Diligence (CDD) daily to ensure compliance with current regulations. Follows policy and procedures related to SARs by reporting suspicious activity to the Compliance department.
  • Develops, manages, and conducts internal audits as required by regulations and policies as well as those identified as necessary through assessments of risks facing the credit union.
  • Prepares audit reports and communicates complex audit findings, analysis, and conclusions and recommendations to management and to the Supervisory Committee
  • Works as liaison to the credit unions regulatory examiners, external auditors, and all outsourced and/or co-sourced audit services.
  • Assists with the development and execution of an annual audit plan using an appropriate risk-based methodology, including any risks or control concerns identified by management, internal and external auditors, examiners, regulatory agencies, and the Supervisory Committee.
  • Conducts and participates in special investigations, including internal fraud investigations, as necessary, and coordinates activities with management, external auditors, examiners, and regulatory agencies.
  • Reviews and makes changes to the internal audit program to maximize its effectiveness and to stay current with operational changes.

  • Demonstrates proficiency and knowledge about technology with the ability to quickly learn and access products through banking core systems.

  • Proficient in basic computer operating systems, word processing tools, email platforms, internet functionality, and Credit Union core systems.
  • Maintain strict confidentiality regarding all non-public data and uphold the financial integrity of the Credit Union.
  • Establish and maintain productive and effective working relationships with the Clackamas team.

What does it take to qualify?

  • Two (2) years of similar or related experience in conducting financial audits including reviewing internal controls, compliance, operating efficiency, and security of operations.
  • A college degree.

 

 

What kind of Work Schedule?

  • Full-time
  • This position will require work to be conducted in-person and on-site in our Clackamas Branches and Administration Offices; hybrid options may be available in some circumstances.

 

Pay Range?

  • Based on experience ranging from $60,000 - $72,000 annual
