Description

The Assistant Superintendent is responsible for coordinating and completing specific projects on time, within budget with a keen eye for quality, safety, and production. The superintendent will be responsible for overseeing the on-site management of the project on a daily basis in close coordination with the project manager. All aspects of the construction process will be a joint effort between the Asst Superintendent and the project manager assigned to the project. These responsibilities include: on-site surveys of existing conditions, takeoffs, material orders (with coordination from project management), scheduling, daily reports and photos via electronic template, maintaining project schedules through management of subcontractors, execution of the work with emphasis on quality, reporting of RFIs, CO's and any other issues that may arise in the field as well as punch list and close out of the project.

Requirements

  • Supervise subcontract crew on framing, hanging drywall, finishing drywall and ceilings.
  • Reports to and assist Project Manager in crew production, material procurement and scheduling.
  • Typical reporting responsibilities include Daily Reports, Expense Reports, Safety Reports, etc.

Requirements

  • Must be proficient with a minimum 5 years’ experience in the following:
    • Architectural Drawings
    • Structural Drawings
    • Engineered Load Bearing Shop Drawings
    • Lay Out
    • Material Take Offs
    • Material Procurement
    • Change Order Procedures
    • Interior Metal Stud Framing
    • Exterior Metal Stud Framing
    • Hanging Drywall
    • Finishing Drywall
    • Acoustical Ceilings
    • Specialty Ceilings
  • Must be willing to relocate temporarily to current job sites for months at a time.
  • Strong leadership qualities
  • Deadline and detail-oriented
  • Create and manage construction schedules, perform regular updates, monitor logic relationships, and insert new activities and impacts.
  • Lead injury-free environment safety program.
  • 8-10 YEARS OF COMMERICAL DRYWALL FOREMAN EXPERIENCE REQUIRED (Please list specific commercial drywall experience on the resume)
  • Ability to travel nationally
