Description

We have an exciting new opportunity for an accomplished and results oriented Accounts Payable Associate in the finance team. This Accounts Payable Associate is responsible for the timely and accurate dispersal of Accounts function. Essential Functions

  • Works effectively with other departments and various members of the staff to reconcile invoices/statements.
  • Reconcile or note and report discrepancies found in records.
  • Uses written and verbal skills to interact with suppliers and vendors.
  • Complies with Federal, State and company policies, procedures and regulations.
  • Accurately checks figures, postings and documents for correct entry, mathematical accuracy and proper accounting codes and invoices.
  • Completes voucher packages by matching the purchase orders and packing slips to the invoices, making sure the purchase orders adhere to Certified Laboratories policy limits. Checks tax status on invoices for sales uses tax procedure.
  • Interacts with vendors to reconcile invoices/statements and to setup vendors as 1099’s if applicable.
  • Responsible for weekly timely issuance of checks for Certified Labs.
  • Other duties as required.

 

 
Position Requirements

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree with a minimum of 2 years relevant experience. Or High School Degree with a minimum of 4 years relevant experience.
  • Strong quantitative skills, proven attention to detail with the ability to use your time, energy, resources, etc. in an effective manner.
  • Critical thinking – using logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions or approaches to problems.
  • Excellent communication skills – speaking, reading, writing and listening.
  • Strong computer skills including Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook As well as QuickBooks.
  • Able to balance records and keep files organized.
  • Ability to multi-task.
