As a Concrete Finisher I, daily work will involve completing concrete and asphalt restoration in support of construction activities. Restoration examples include asphalt windows/potholes for utility locating, sidewalk stones, curb and gutter and small patching. Concrete Finisher I Responsibilities/Duties: Take direction from supervisors to ensure timely and accurate completion of all jobs Perform heavy manual labor for extended periods, often under adverse climatic conditions Analyze job locations for utility lines, permitting, and traffic control in order to complete restoration activities without quality defects, safety incidents or any type of property damage Complete daily inspections and reporting of maintenance issues on vehicles, trailers and equipment Operate all vehicles, equipment and tools while adhering to company safety standards Works efficiently to achieve a high level of productivity daily Communicate professionally with coworkers, supervisors, inspectors and client representatives Completes paperwork for job and material tracking, time reporting and vehicle use in an accurate and timely manner Understand and follow specific oral and written instructions Ability to work well independently and as a part of a team Willingness and ability to learn additional skills We offer a full range of benefits including: Health, vision and dental insurance options Paid holidays and Paid Time Off (PTO) Life insurance Short-term and long-term disability insurance options 401k retirement plan with a company contribution Our Company: We have been in business in New Mexico for nearly 30 years. We perform work for a variety of communications, power, and fiber optic and data/cell providers. We have 7 offices throughout New Mexico and an office in El Paso, TX. Job Type: Full-time Hours: Operators/Laborers report to headquarters at 7-8am. Typical day could include an 8-10-hour shift Monday-Friday. On-call rotation is required. Pay: Based on Experience. Paid Bi-weekly. Hourly employee.   Position Requirements Job Qualifications: 2-3 years of concrete/finishing experience preferred 2 years of experience in the construction, underground or telecom industry Ability to stand, walk, bend, twist, kneel, grasp, push, pull and reach on a frequent basis throughout the day. Must be able to lift-up to 40 pounds on a frequent basis and up to 75 pounds on an occasional basis Time management skills Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills Required to travel out of town to work on projects of varying length approximately 10% of the time CDL Class A license with tanker endorsement preferred   Open Date 8/12/2022   Close Date 9/30/2022   EOE Statement We are an equal employment opportunity employer.
